Stelio Ropokis

  • Full Name: Stelio George Ropokis
  • Office hours: Tuesdays 3pm-5pm in 460-040A
  • About: I'm a senior from Preveza, Greece (but I've grown up in a few places, including Las Vegas, Huntington Beach, and Virginia Beach) interested in social neuroscience and philosophy of neuroscience. I love to discuss consciousness, representation, and the brain in general. I've previously been involved with TEDxStanford, the LGBT Business Alliance, Frosh Council, and the Stanford Hellenic Association.

My sophomore summer, I worked at Facebook in data analytics and UI/UX, and my junior summer I went back to Facebook as a Product Specialist. I studied abroad at Oxford (highly recommend), where I completed a tutorial in cognitive neuroscience, with a focus on social cognitive neuroscience. I'm also interested in product management, cooking, photography, and international relations. Stop by my office hours to talk about SymSys, neuroscience, classes, Black Mirror/WestWorld, declaring, or whatever you feel like!
