PIXELS & PAINTINGS (784 pages, Wiley, 2024) is the pioneering presentation of computer-based image analysis applied to problems in the history and interpretation of fine art paintings and drawings, forging a dialog between art scholars and the computer vision community.

 

David G. Stork is Adjunct Professor of Material Science and Engineering and Symbolic Systems as well as Visiting Lecturer in Electrical Engineering and Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford University.  He is currently teaching EE 292F, Image processing of fine art.
