Jed Rose

  • Full Name: Jed Rose
  • Work organization: Microsoft
  • Work position: Product Manager, Windows Vista
  • Background: Graduated in 2003 with Honors. My thesis was on creating a visual symbol game to help the hearing-impaired better understand written English through syntactical manipulation of sentences.

I went straight into Product Management at Microsoft Windows after graduation.
  • Doing Now: I am now working on the product management team for Windows Vista.

As a member of the Business Group, I have lead our team in the creation of the first US breadth community program at Microsoft, managed our influencer programs for Windows Client, and have fostered new customer feedback channels for improving Windows Vista. I now work on our education strategy for Windows Vista in emerging markets.

Outside of work, I do professional improv comedy with my troupe, "Quiet Monkey Fight". Thanks to my work, I get to see the world and have been to such places as England, Russia, India, and the Czech Republic in the last year. I also play on recreational softball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee leagues. I live in downtown Seattle and am loving it out here.
