Symbolic Systems Distinguished Teaching Award - Xinlan Emily Hu (M.S. '21) and David Shacklette (M.S. '21)

Congratulations to Symbolic Systems graduates Xinlan Emily Hu (M.S., '21) and David Shacklette (M.S., '21), who are the recipients this year of the Symbolic Systems Program's Distinguished Teaching Award.

Both Emily and David were teaching assistants in the recently redesigned introductory course "Minds and Machines" (SYMSYS 1, which is also cross-listed as CS 24 / LINGUIST 35 / PSYCH 35 / PHIL 99 / SYMSYS 200).

The Symbolic Systems Distinguished Teaching Award is a new award that is being inaugurated this year to recognize contributions to the teaching of Symbolic Systems students.
