Antonio Aguilar
Title: Advising Fellow
Class Year: 2018 Concentration: Artificial Intelligence
About: Hey! I'm a senior from San José, Costa Rica in the Artificial Intelligence track, minoring in Mathematics. This year, I'm taking a deep dive into AI and probability. I'm very interested in the applications of AI and I look forward to using its tools to understand our cognition. Come talk to me about anything SymSys, especially about the more computational side. I'm passionate about good habits around technology and screen time, and fighting back when technology doesn't help us live the kinds of lives we want to live. I love cycling, soccer, board games and beer brewing!
Office Hours: Mondays from 3-5pm, Thursdays from 10:30-11:50am in the Linguistics Courtyard

Class Year: 2018 Concentration: Decision Making and Rationality
About: Hello! I'm Audy (pronounced like the car), and I'm a senior in the Decision Making & Rationality track. My studies have focused on the intersection of product design and human behavior, and I'm interested in how we can use behavioral science to help solve social and environmental problems. I've done summer internships in management consulting (Bain and Accenture) and I spent the summer after my sophomore year living and working in Japan, where I was a product design intern at Mitsubishi Electric. On campus, I've been a part of Talisman Acappella, EPASA, and Design for America. Come visit me during office hours or shoot me an email if you have any questions! :)
Office Hours: Mondays 1-3pm, Fridays 12:15-1:45pm in 460-040A (12:45-1:45pm on 11/17)

Class Year: 2017 Concentration: HCI
About: Hey everyone! I graduated just this past year with a HCI concentration, and I'm currently coterming in Computer Science. I have had tech internships in the past, both in and out of the Bay Area. At Stanford, I've been part of organizations like CS+Social Good and I went abroad to Berlin. My interests lie heavily in product and design, and I'm a huge fan of the d.school. Feel free to drop by my OH, whether it's about the major or about how to use SymSys/HCI elsewhere! Looking forward to meeting y'all.

Luigi Sambuy
Title: Advising Fellow
Class Year: 2018 Concentration: Artificial Intelligence
About: Hello! My name is Luigi and I'm a senior studying Artificial Intelligence. At 16, I left my hometown of Turin, Italy, to complete my high school studies on the Big Island of Hawaii. My studies at Stanford and work experiences are centered around music technology and computer-generated sound, although I spent my summer between junior and senior year as a product manager at a cyber security startup. One of my favorite experiences of my undergraduate journey has been studying Existentialist Writers at Oxford University through the BOSP program. I love talking about Westworld (the TV series), design, consciousness, golf and anything concerning sound.

Stelio Ropokis
Title: Advising Fellow
Class Year: 2018 Concentration: Cognitive Science
About: I'm a senior from Preveza, Greece (but I've grown up in a few places, including Las Vegas, Huntington Beach, and Virginia Beach) interested in social neuroscience and philosophy of neuroscience. I love to discuss consciousness, representation, and the brain in general. I've previously been involved with TEDxStanford, the LGBT Business Alliance, Frosh Council, and the Stanford Hellenic Association. My sophomore summer, I worked at Facebook in data analytics and UI/UX, and my junior summer I went back to Facebook as a Product Specialist. I studied abroad at Oxford (highly recommend), where I completed a tutorial in cognitive neuroscience, with a focus on social cognitive neuroscience. I'm also interested in product management, cooking, photography, and international relations. Stop by my office hours to talk about SymSys, neuroscience, classes, Black Mirror/WestWorld, declaring, or whatever you feel like!

Sydney Maples
Title: Advising Fellow
Class Year: 2017 Concentration: Cognitive Science
About: Hey, I’m Sydney! I am a double major in SymSys and Public Policy. My current focus is on security (both online and off), and I have an individually-designed concentration in Computational and Data Journalism, so I have spent some time thinking about how to apply SymSys to more people-oriented concerns. I have also taken a fair number of classes within the realms of logic, philosophy, and AI. I’ve previously worked as the leader of the SymSys Society, the tech team lead of CS + Mental Health, a programmer in Stanford’s VR lab, and have built software tools to make data mining more approachable for non-programmers. In my non-academic life, I avidly enjoy photography, poetry, East Asian languages, and classic rock. Feel free to stop by! :)
Office Hours: Wednesdays, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Will also hold OH on Friday Oct 13 from 2-4pm.
