Elaine Wherry (Class of 2001) co-founded the social sharing website Meebo, which was acquired by Google this past June. The blogger Bill Slawski (SEO by the Sea) reported that Elaine co-authored several patent filings that were part of the acquisition. Other Sym Sys alums who worked at Meebo included Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger (Class of 2008, M.S. '09) and Benjamin Newman (Class of 2007), later of Mozilla and Quora. See also: |
