We are pleased to announce that Michael Bernstein (Class of 2006) will be joining the Computer Science Department at Stanford as an Assistant Professor. Michael is graduating this spring with a Ph.D. at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). As an undergraduate in Symbolic Systems in 2006, Michael won a Firestone Medal for his senior honors thesis. He joins a large and growing list of Symbolic Systems alumni/ae in higher education and joins Michael C. Frank ('03, Assistant Professor of Psychology) and Nadeem Hussain ('90, Associate Professor of Philosophy) as active members of the Stanford faculty who are Symbolic Systems alums.
