Philosophical Foundations

    1. Three courses from the Phil 180/280-series [cannot double count with core requirements].
    2. One of the following: (a) Modern Philosophy Descartes to Kant (Phil 102); (b) some more advanced course covering empiricism, rationalism, or Kant [with approval of advisor]; or (c) a course from the Phil 170-series.
    3. One of the following: Logic and Computation (Phil 152/252) [if not taken for the core], Modal Logic (Phil 154/254), or any course from the Phil 350-series.
    4. One of the following: Philosophy of Mathematics (Phil 162/262), Central Topics in the Philosophy of Science: Theory and Evidence (Phil 164/264), Philosophy of Physics (Phil 165/265), Probability: Ten Great Ideas About Chance (Phil 166/266/Stats 167/267), Philosophy, Biology, and Behavior (Phil 167B/267B).
