Quantios helps guide students through one of the most important decisions of
their young adult lives. We develop decision support tools for the 4.2
million teenagers that leave home for university each year, and the
professionals that help them with their college choices. Our flagship

we're also developing tools for colleges to identify talent that matches
their needs, and software for high schools to help them advise their

We're looking for engineering interns to help us build out acceptedge.com

working on immediately important contributions in direct collaboration with
the founders, and have the opportunity to gain insight into the operations
of the company as we work to build partnerships and bring AcceptEdge to
market this summer. We've raised a small round of angel financing already,
and are working from incubator space at New Enterprise Associates
(www.nea.com <http://www.nea.com/> ) on Sand Hill Road.
In terms of coding, lots of experience with HTML and CSS should be a given.
Specifically, we're looking for experience with (in order of importance):
- PHP,
- Python, and,
- MySQL.
95% of our core code is PHP 5, but the back-end math and other heavy lifting
is in Python. We use MySQL for persistent storage, and memcached on top of
that. We're looking for motivated, self-starting engineers who can think
for themselves and work independently without supervision on parts of a
complex whole. You don't have to be one of the best in the world (yet) as
long as you're willing to learn.
The college admission process is highly stressful and incredibly
inefficient. We're working to turn it into a science, and improve outcomes
for both students and universities. There's a lot that can be done when
data enters education, and we're just getting started.

Position Summary:
This position reports to the Senior Director of Community. The Senior Content Manager will manage a team of 7
content developers. The role requires an ability to work on cross-functional issues, implement strategic policies,
and establish work plans and performance requirements.
The Senior Content Manager will play a key role in setting the content strategy for the TechSoup.org and
TechSoupforlibraries.org sites, act as publisher for TechSoup.org, as well as improving our current processes to
maximize our impact on nonprofits, NGOs, and public libraries; will lead and manage the team of content developers
in prioritizing projects, managing resources, and creating and editing content as needed. The manager will work
closely with other parts of the organization at all levels to ensure that our content supports and enhances our
product donation and community offerings. The role requires an individual to have enthusiasm for staff
management, and the desire to produce accessible, readable, and accurate technical content to enhance the
technical capacity of thousands of nonprofits, NGOs, and public libraries worldwide.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
� Work with Director and key staff to craft and implement a content strategy for TechSoup.org and
TechSoupforlibraries.org in coordination.
� Provide leadership and supervision to a team of seven creative content developers.
� Act as publisher for TechSoup.org.
� Act as the point of contact for in-depth content strategy discussions and content requests.
� Represent the team on cross-functional projects.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance

� At least 5 years of experience writing and editing professionally required
� Experience managing grants preferred

Unlike a traditional baseline software engineering job, trading engineers at CCI will have the opportunity to design the systems for which they are responsible and will be expected to handle design, specification, testing, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of significant software systems. Responsibilities for this position will include developing, delivering and maintaining a reliable, extendible & cross- product real-time FIX enabled trading platform that addresses execution, straight-through processing, intelligent pricing, auto-quoting, risk management, and internal markets. Use of broker-specific APIs may be required. Candidates with more experience will be expected to take on the management of more systems and possibly to serve as team lead for various projects.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
A background in financial engineering is a plus. The desired skill set includes algorithmic trading, mastery of the FIX protocol, and engineering of direct market access trading platforms. This person must be a top-notch programmer in addition to having the knowledge of financial systems, and should be fluent in at least two of the following: .NET/C#, Java, C++. Candidates should have FIX and/or CMS experience. Any experience working with ECNs (Archipelago, Instinet, etc), as well as NASD, NYSE with experience in other liquidity points (ATD, Lava Trading, Pipeline, etc) and Global Exchanges (Brazil, Canada, HK, Japan, Mexico, UK, etc) would be considered a huge plus. Candidates should have experience with UNIX shell scripting in Perl, Python, PHP or Ruby.
Intelligence, cleverness, curiosity and wisdom are required. Strong attention to detail is vital, but candidates must be able to deliver completed projects in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment (fast and good is better than slow and best). Excellent programming skills are a must (ability to hack and write good code). Must have the inquisitiveness to question bugs or oddities and chase them down until they are fixed. Candidates should possess excellent speaking and presentation skills, and the ability to work in a cross functional environment. Strong cultural alignment is VERY important: all hires will have respect for self and others, high integrity, a strong work ethic, a results orientation, a team orientation, and a focus on the customer.

Position 1: Localization
Gracenote is seeking native speakers of specific dialects of European and North American languages (for example, a French speaker from France, a French speaker from Quebec, a Spanish speaker from Spain, etc.) with a basic but current knowledge of local popular musical culture of the country in question. These speakers will help assist Gracenote in a localization project. The position is a short-term contract job this summer and/or fall (approximately 300 hours over about 10 weeks with possible flexibility).
For this localization project, Gracenote is looking for native speakers of:

The qualified design candidate will work both independently and alongside other design team members to shape the future of online payments by creating high fidelity prototypes to test new design ideas and interactive affordances. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with solid visual presentation skills. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Work closely with a cross-functional team including UI Designers, Visual Designers, Usability Engineers and Web Developers, to create high fidelity working models of the PayPal.com global website
• This person should be able to gather product requirements and accurately create prototypes that capture the interface flow, navigation and look and feel
• Ability to rapidly prototype designs in hand-coded HTML, integrating existing databases and code where appropriate
• Work closely with user research team members to better understand the user, test the usability of features and conceptual designs through the use of interactive prototypes
• Should have practical experience employing formal user centered design methodologies
• The designer should be self-motivated and be able to make logical decisions to ensure the overall success of the project by creating designs that seamlessly address customer and business concerns and objectives
• Keep abreast of current design tools, techniques and methodologies
Position Requirements:
• At least 3 years of solid industry experience prototyping GUI’s for websites and web applications
• Must have extensive demonstrated experience hand coding HTML, developing Javascript code, XML, XSLT, DHTML, Ajax and related web technologies
• Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science or other related discipline
• Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate prototyping and design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams a must
• Portfolio required
“Nice to Have” Skills:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft’s development technologies especially IIS, ASP, ASP.NET, C#, COM/COM+, ADO, ADO.NET, and Visual Studio.Net
• Java and Flash experience a plus
• The ability to create UI models, user task and interaction flows, screen designs, user-interface interaction details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience for various online payment products
