How to contact us:

The Symbolic Systems program is an undergraduate and master's interdisciplinary major combining studies from the departments of philosophy, psychology, computer science, and linguistics, as well as optional concentrations in neuroscience and education. Majors in Symbolic Systems are prepared to enter any of these fields, as well as industry and most other cognitive-science related areas. These links offer you a brief overview of some aspects of Symbolic Systems and how to find out more.

Please direct your inquiries as indicated below.

  • Current Stanford undergraduates: for questions not answered on this website, email the undergraduate advising fellows at "symsys-afs at lists dot stanford dot edu" (requires an @Stanford.EDU address to post) or visit the Symbolic Systems offices in suite 040, Building 460 (Margaret Jacks Hall) during our office hours.
